Designer Keith Callaghan says “my design brief was a boat that would be great fun to sail, fast, competitive on the racecourse yet easily manageable by 2 people, but still with offshore capability. The cabin had to have standing headroom plus separate heads, galley and berths to be a comfortable weekend/dayboat for people used to bigger boats. A lifting centreboard and rudder was required to access shallower waters and launch from the trailer”.
Keith has made maximum use of high tech materials and construction to keep weight to a minimum, particularly aloft, This allows high performance to be achieved with a very manageable rig which in turn reduces the ballast requirements.
The boat has been designed and built in Britain.
